Wherever possible, we avoid traditional, vehicle-based surveillance, which has become all too familiar to personal injury claimants. Widespread media coverage of surveillance practices has also given claimants a greater awareness of basic surveillance generally, from the types of vehicles used to old-fashioned, covert systems concealed in bags or clothing.

Our reputation for innovative methods and cutting edge covert technology means that we are often used in cases where other firms have been compromised or a case is deemed too sensitive to risk conventional surveillance. Our credibility is such that many of the UK’s leading law firms will often request to go “off panel” to use us.

Because we do not rely solely on vehicle-based surveillance, we are generally able to obtain footage, irrespective of the location or scenario. This enhanced level of video evidence is invaluable in reducing or negating exaggerated or fraudulent claims, which may include complex aspects relating to stress and phobias that can only be confirmed or disproved through close surveillance footage with audio.

Our approach is to add value to all that we do. As one of the largest surveillance providers in the UK, we know that every case is different. A “one size fits all” approach cannot work in surveillance: we treat each instruction individually and micro-manage the teams working on the case to achieve optimum results.

Much of our work comes from set panel contracts, but we are well aware that we are only as good as our last surveillance operation. To this end, we frequently undertake additional days of surveillance, free of charge, to ensure consistent levels of quality.

Because we provide specialist accredited training in advanced surveillance, we are able to cherry pick the very best candidates from our courses and offer them employment or a place within our Surveillance Faculty.

This means that our clients benefit from having the best trained and best motivated workforce completing their surveillance instructions. They also benefit from retro-research carried out by our Surveillance Lab, which examines and identifies best practices and problems associated with various operational scenarios.

Adding value leads to innovation. For example, we recently worked with a major worldwide insurer to create a dedicated website that allows handlers to submit instructions via the internet, attach relevant case information and in turn receive our reports and supporting litigation material. The site also automatically generates management information and key performance indicators for management review.

Additional value-added services include our incident validation service, which allows insurers to set a timely and accurate reserve as soon as they are notified of potentially catastrophic injuries to third parties.
